Five-Year-Old Girl Seriously Injured After Falling Down Stairs in Bnei Brak
A five-year-old girl sustained moderate injuries after falling down a staircase in a residential building on Rabinu Tam Street in Bnei Brak on Wednesday. Emergency responders provided initial medical treatment at the scene before transporting her to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer for further care. Paramedics Benjamin Fishel and Chaim Fox from United Hatzalah's rapid response unit reported that the girl had fallen and hit her head, and her condition is currently classified as moderate.
This incident is not isolated; about two weeks ago, a toddler aged approximately two and a half fell down stairs near Barta'a, suffering severe head trauma. Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts by Magen David Adom paramedics, the child was declared dead after being hospitalized in critical condition. Police have launched an investigation into that case.
In a separate event, an 11-year-old girl was seriously injured after falling several floors down a staircase in a building in Holon. Rescue teams provided emergency care and transported her to the hospital with multiple injuries. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns about stair-related accidents involving children in residential areas.
