WhatsApp Is Adding a New Way to Save and Revisit Status Updates
WhatsApp continues to work on new features designed to expand the app’s management and usage options. According to a report by WABetaInfo, published on Gadgety, the company is developing a message scheduling option, alongside an expansion of the status archive feature.
The status archive feature will allow users to save status updates and access them even after they have been published. The option can be enabled through the app’s settings, under the “Storage and data” menu. Once enabled, access to saved statuses will be available from several areas in the app, the Updates tab, the personal status viewing area, and also through a dedicated filter on the device’s storage management screen.
According to the report, the message scheduling feature is still in internal development and is not yet available to all users or beta testers. By contrast, the status archive has already begun rolling out to a limited group of Android beta testers. WhatsApp is expected to expand availability to additional beta users in the coming weeks, before a wider public launch.
