US Military Destroys Iranian Revolutionary Guard Watchtower Near Strait of Hormuz

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it struck and destroyed a watchtower at the Cheh Bahar Kalantari port in southern Iran. The attack took place yesterday and targeted a key part of a maritime surveillance network along the coast of the Gulf of Oman. This network has been used for decades by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to monitor and attack commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM stated that destroying the tower directly impairs the IRGC's ability to coordinate attacks on innocent civilian crews navigating this critical maritime route.
