Gidi Keniuk Demands Unpaid Bonuses from Hapoel Ramat Gan After Promotion

Hapoel Ramat Gan, which returned to the Israeli Premier League in May 2026 after a 13-year absence, is facing legal challenges from players over unpaid promised bonuses. Midfielder Gidi Keniuk and forward Ezekiel Henty claim the club has not paid them the bonuses agreed upon for the team's promotion and individual contributions. Keniuk is demanding 140,000 shekels net, while Henty seeks 45,000 shekels net. Both players say the club has ignored their attempts to resolve the issue, with club representatives not responding to calls. Following Henty's public complaint on social media, Keniuk has now engaged a lawyer and plans to file a lawsuit soon. He stated that despite numerous attempts to contact Hapoel Ramat Gan CEO Moshe Barkat regarding the promotion bonus and other owed payments, he received no satisfactory response. Keniuk emphasized that Barkat is not the person he blames but confirmed he will proceed legally in the coming days. The dispute arises as the club is simultaneously preparing its squad for the 2026/2027 season.
