90-Year-Old Israeli Driver Injures Two Settlers in Gush Etzion Farm Incident

A 90-year-old Israeli man drove into two settlers at Tomer Farm in the Gush Etzion area on Friday, leaving both with minor injuries. The incident followed an altercation between the driver and a local resident, which escalated when the driver began recording with a camera and then struck a teenager lightly with his vehicle. When a local woman approached to question the driver, he continued driving, dragging her several meters and causing minor injuries. Security forces detained the driver and seized his vehicle. The police are investigating the circumstances of the event.

Yaron Rosenthal, head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council, expressed shock but said the community was not surprised, citing ongoing tensions with anarchist groups. He called on security forces to use all available means to protect the settlers at the farm, which was established by the council. The police confirmed the driver was taken for further questioning and that the investigation is ongoing.
