Gal Gadot Stars in New Thriller 'The Runner' Premiering on Prime Video September 2
Israeli actress Gal Gadot, best known for her role as Wonder Woman, returns to the screen in the psychological action thriller "The Runner," set to premiere on Prime Video on September 2. In the film, Gadot plays a successful London-based lawyer whose life is turned upside down during her morning run when she receives a mysterious phone call informing her that her son has been kidnapped. To save him, she must follow three harsh rules: keep running, obey every instruction, and tell no one. Any deviation could cost her son's life.
The trailer reveals an intense chase through London's streets and underground tunnels, with Gadot's character facing dangerous tasks in a race against time. The movie is directed by Oscar winner Kevin Macdonald, known for "The Last King of Scotland," and written by Mark Gibson. Alongside Gadot, the cast includes Damian Lewis, Rory Wilmot, and Alfred Enoch.
This film marks Gadot's first collaboration with Prime Video after starring in several Netflix productions such as "Red Notice" and "Heart of Stone." "The Runner" has a runtime of 84 minutes and will be available for streaming starting September 2.
