Serbian Center Dusan Miljic Nears Signing with Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Club

Hapoel Jerusalem announced the signing of center Devonte Kakoc on July 26, 2026, but reports from Meridian indicate the club is also close to acquiring another tall player, Serbian center Dusan Miljic. Miljic, 27, stands 2.15 meters tall and recently completed a season with Romanian team Cluj, where he was one of the top centers in the EuroCup, averaging 12.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. After the Romanian season ended in early June, Miljic moved to Lebanon to play for Al Riyadi, reportedly attracted by exceptional financial terms. He has played one playoff game in the Lebanese league, scoring 18 points and grabbing 8 rebounds, with Al Riyadi starting their semifinal series today.

Cluj reportedly wants Miljic back for the next season, and he has drawn interest from Partizan Belgrade and a EuroLeague Spanish team. However, Hapoel Jerusalem, coached by Sasha Obradovic, has made the highest offer and reached a preliminary agreement with the player. Serbian sources note Obradovic believes Miljic will be a key asset in the club's EuroCup ambitions. Miljic finished last EuroCup season ranked fourth in rebounds and ninth in player efficiency rating. His professional career began at Partizan Belgrade, with loan spells in Serbia, followed by stints at Girona (Spain), Slask Wroclaw (Poland), Spartak (Serbia), and Cluj. This season, Miljic faced Hapoel Jerusalem twice in EuroCup, losing both games but improving his performance significantly in the second match with 17 points and 5 rebounds.
