Dr. Gerard Allouche, Longtime Dentist of Gush Katif, Passes Away After Illness

Dr. Gerard Allouche, who served as the dentist for the communities of Gush Katif for many years, passed away last night after a two-year battle with a serious illness. Originally from France, Allouche immigrated to Israel with his young family and invested his resources in purchasing land and agricultural greenhouses in Gush Katif. Despite experiencing financial losses over the years, he remained living in the Gaza Strip area, continuing his work in dentistry and agriculture until the evacuation of the settlements in 2005.

His daughter-in-law, Esther Allouche, paid tribute to him on social media, describing him as a humble and smiling man who quietly accomplished great deeds. She compared him to the flowers he chose to cultivate in the Gush Katif greenhouses and recalled how many people shared with her their appreciation for his dedicated care.
