Official: Idan Cohen signs with Hapoel Jerusalem
Official: Idan Cohen has signed with Hapoel Jerusalem. The right back, who played this season for Hapoel Petah Tikva, may be the club's second signing after Vitali Damashcan.
The 30-year-old Cohen played this season for Hapoel Petah Tikva, with whom he also earned promotion to the Premier League. Cohen, who came through Hapoel Tel Aviv, played for the club and also had spells at Maccabi Petah Tikva and Hapoel Nir Ramat HaSharon. He will now join the Jerusalem club for the first time, where left back Ofek Nadir has extended his contract.
The team finished the season with 31 points in 12th place in the league, after battling MS Ashdod against relegation until the final rounds.
Cohen said of the signing, "I am excited to begin a new chapter at Hapoel Jerusalem. I have only heard good things about the club and the special people in it, and I am happy to be part of it from today. I am coming to give everything on the pitch and help the team achieve its goals."
