Benny Landau Reveals 22-Year-Old Song About Yearning for the Temple

Benny Landau unveiled a previously unreleased song he wrote over 22 years ago during the third "Niksafa" conference held at Heichal Shlomo in Jerusalem. The event, focused on awakening and longing for the Temple, took place about a week and a half before Tisha B'Av, a day of mourning in the Jewish calendar.

At the start of his performance, Landau shared that he had visited the Temple Mount for only the second time in his life that day, describing the experience as indescribable and emotionally complex. He then recounted how he recently recalled the song, which he composed roughly 22 years ago, and connected it to another song he received shortly after, titled "Night Fragments."

Landau introduced the simple yet poignant lyrics to the audience, which express a deep yearning to sing the songs of Zion and praise God again on their homeland after a long exile. The song reflects themes of return, spiritual revival, and hope for divine glory to shine upon Jerusalem.
