Maccabi Haifa Shows Interest in North Macedonian Striker David Toshevski
Maccabi Haifa has expressed interest in signing David Toshevski, a 24-year-old striker from North Macedonia currently playing for Belgian club Dender. Toshevski, who stands 1.87 meters tall, scored four goals in 26 appearances during the last Belgian top-flight season, which ended with Dender's relegation to the second division. Valued at around half a million euros, Toshevski has one cap for the North Macedonian national team.
Toshevski previously played against Maccabi Haifa in the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League qualifiers while representing Russian club Rostov, where he came on as a substitute for eight minutes. According to transfer reporter Sasha Taboulieri, Hungarian club Győr has already submitted an offer for the player, with Haifa also monitoring the situation closely.
Throughout his career, Toshevski has moved through several clubs, starting at Rabotnički in North Macedonia before transferring to Rostov for one million euros. He had loan spells at Tambov (Russia), Górnik Zabrze (Poland), and Michalovce (Slovakia). In 2023, he left Rostov for Austrian side Klagenfurt and was loaned to Croatian club Šibenik before joining Dender in Belgium last season.
