Russian Soldiers Beaten and Tied for Refusing Suicide Missions, Video Reveals
A disturbing video has emerged showing two nearly naked Russian soldiers tied by their hands and repeatedly beaten by an officer after refusing to participate in what were described as "suicide missions" on the front lines. The soldiers reportedly sought to file a formal complaint against a senior commander named Moskayev, prompting the violent punishment. In the footage, the officer angrily shouts at the soldiers, condemning their refusal to obey orders that would lead to certain death and their intention to complain about service conditions.
This incident highlights the brutal disciplinary methods used by Russian military commanders to enforce obedience amid heavy casualties, with tens of thousands of soldiers reportedly lost each month in the ongoing conflict. Such abuse is not isolated; a similar video surfaced in May showing a Russian soldier wrapped in cling film, hanging upside down from a tree while being beaten by an officer, with fellow soldiers laughing and encouraging the abuse.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues its aggressive campaign against Russia's "shadow fleet," destroying 19 Russian tankers in the Sea of Azov overnight using naval drones. Over the past ten days, 17 oil tankers and two gas tankers have been attacked, bringing the total number of Russian vessels damaged since last week to 136. These strikes severely impair Russia's supply capabilities to the Crimean Peninsula. The Ukrainian offensive coincides with Ukrainian Statehood Day and serves as a direct response to Russian President Vladimir Putin's claims denying Ukraine's sovereignty.
