The Israeli cyber company Aryon Security has completed a $25 million Series A funding round and has reached a total of $38 million raised. Alongside leading funds and prominent investors from the tech world, the round also included singer Omer Adam, comedian Assi Cohen and former Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
The company says the technology it developed helps prevent cloud failures and security gaps before they happen.
The Israeli cyber company Aryon Security announced yesterday, Wednesday, that it had completed a $25 million Series A funding round. Following the financing, the company has now raised a total of $38 million since its founding. The round was led by Brightmind and Shlomo Kramer’s Skinos Ventures, along with a number of prominent investors from the global tech industry.
Aryon operates in cloud security and is developing a system that enables organizations to define and enforce security policies automatically across their entire cloud environment. According to the company, the system identifies and prevents actions that deviate from the predefined security policy, and provides users with immediate feedback on how to fix the issue, without requiring manual intervention from security teams.
The company’s CEO and co-founder, Ron Arbel, said that over the past year Aryon expanded support for additional cloud platforms and developed advanced enforcement capabilities that also make it possible to handle complex environments at large enterprises. According to him, the company’s customers report a significant improvement in security risk management, with some reporting a drop of about 90% in the number of alerts in monitoring systems after implementing the solution.
One of the most notable details in the funding round is the unusual list of investors. Alongside companies and funds such as Datadog, Blumberg Capital, Viola Ventures, CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz, and Armis founders Evgeny Dibrov and Nadir Izrael, the company also received investments from former Prime Minister Ehud Barak, singer Omer Adam and comedian Assi Cohen.
Arbel explained that the choice of investors is based not only on financial capital, but also on their ability to help the company grow through connections and opening doors. According to him, Omer Adam has become one of the company’s most active investors and has helped create significant business connections in Israel and around the world, while Assi Cohen has contributed to connections and building trust with various parties.
Aryon was founded about a year ago by Ron Arbel, who previously served as a partner and COO at Cyberilium, which was acquired by LG, Ariel Litmanovich, who serves as CTO and is a recipient of the Israel Defense Prize and was responsible for the IDF’s move to the cloud, and Yair Ledizjenski, who serves as CPO and previously worked at Paragon.
