Israeli Police Arrest Crime Boss Yossi Mosli in Wave of Grenade Attacks on Businesses

Israeli police have made a significant breakthrough in the investigation of a recent surge in shootings and grenade attacks linked to the ongoing feud between the Mosli and Jarushi crime families. On Tuesday evening, the Central Unit of the Tel Aviv District Police arrested Yossi Mosli, the head of the Mosli crime organization, on suspicion of involvement in multiple shooting incidents and grenade attacks targeting businesses across the Gush Dan and central Israel regions, including branches of the Japnika chain. Mosli was taken for questioning at the Tel Aviv District Police headquarters, and police plan to present him to the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday to request an extension of his detention.

Authorities consider Mosli’s arrest a major development in the extensive investigation into the recent wave of violent attacks between the rival crime families. The police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected. Earlier reports revealed that two young men, aged 17 and 19, were detained on suspicion of throwing a fragmentation grenade at a car dealership in southern Tel Aviv around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The grenade caused minor damage to several vehicles but no injuries. The suspects were found shortly after the attack in Bnei Brak riding a motorcycle; a knife was found on one of them during a search.

Police are working to link the two suspects to the grenade attack through forensic evidence and other findings from the scene. They are also investigating whether this incident is connected to the broader pattern of attacks stemming from the Mosli-Jarushi family feud.
