Thousands Commemorate 14th Yahrzeit of Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv at Har HaMenuchot

Thousands of followers gathered on Monday to mark the 14th yahrzeit of Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, a leading halachic authority, at his gravesite on Har HaMenuchot in Jerusalem. Attendees prayed for both communal and personal salvation on this significant day.

Rabbi Elyashiv's son, Rabbi Binyamin David Elyashiv, delivered a special lesson at the Tiferet Bachurim study hall, coinciding with the completion of a Talmudic tractate. The event also featured Rabbi Yaakov Hillel, head of the Ahavat Shalom yeshiva, who gave an inspiring speech to the assembled scholars.

Rabbi Yitzchak Levin, a prominent student of Rabbi Elyashiv, shared memories and insights about the revered decisor. Additionally, Rabbi Binyamin David Elyashiv conducted a Torah class for overseas students as part of his regular weekly Saturday night lesson.

Later in the day, Rabbi Elyashiv visited the holy site at Har HaMenuchot. The emotional prayers were joined by Rabbi Dan Segal, a respected spiritual supervisor, who together with Rabbi Elyashiv prayed for the welfare of the community during these difficult times.
