Movement for Quality Government Files Petition to Cancel Basic Law on Torah Study

The Movement for Quality Government in Israel has petitioned the Supreme Court to annul the recently passed Basic Law on Torah Study. The law was approved by the Knesset in its second and third readings. Alongside the request to cancel the law, the Movement is seeking an interim injunction to suspend the law's implementation until the court reaches a decision on the petition. They have also called for an urgent hearing on the matter.
