Likud Committee Approves Minister Haim Katz's Compromise Proposal Backed by Netanyahu
The Likud Constitution Committee has officially approved a compromise proposal put forward by Minister Haim Katz, with the consent of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the agreement, Netanyahu will receive reserved slots for candidates in positions 3, 5, 9, 11, 15, 18, 26, and 31 on the party list. Meanwhile, other Knesset members will compete for district-based slots. This arrangement aims to balance Netanyahu's influence over the party list with competitive elections for regional representation.
