Likud MK Osher Shekalim Criticizes Excessive Reserved Slots in Party List Ahead of Primaries

However, Shekalim voiced disagreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the number of reserved slots on the party list, stating that having ten reserved spots is excessive and harms the democratic fabric of the party. He contrasted Likud's approach with that of the Yesh Atid party, implying that Likud should maintain a more open and democratic candidate selection process.
