A Arab furniture store owner from Judea and Samaria threatened customers who asked to cancel transactions. In one case, he told a female customer: “What we did to you on October 7 was nothing compared with what I will do to you today.” Five indictments were filed against him after a police investigation.
A serious indictment was filed today, Thursday, against an Arab furniture store owner from Judea and Samaria, who is accused of making severe threats against his customers. Among the threats, the defendant was heard telling one customer: “What we did to you on the seventh of October is nothing compared with what I will do to you today,” and added: “Do you know the Hariri family? I’m on my way.”
The investigation began at the Ariel police station following a complaint from a Jerusalem resident who bought furniture through Facebook and asked to cancel the transaction. In response, the business owner began threatening her life and the lives of her children. During the investigation, additional victims of the defendant’s threats were uncovered, leading to five indictments against him for threats.
In one case, a customer who canceled a purchase received phone calls in which the defendant demanded payment and threatened to come to her home, alongside threatening calls from suspects identified with criminal organizations. In another case, a customer was threatened that “it will not be good,” and another customer was told that the defendant knew where he lived, all in an effort to intimidate and collect money.
At the conclusion of the investigation and the establishment of the evidentiary basis, the indictment was filed by the military prosecution. The Israel Police said it would continue acting against threats and harassment offenses that harm the public’s sense of security, and would work to locate suspects, investigate them, and bring them to justice to the fullest extent.
