Modi'in Leads Israel in Plastic Surgery Interest Across Multiple Procedures

A recent analysis by the Israeli Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, based on Google Trends data from April to June 2026, reveals that Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut is the leading city in Israel for online searches related to plastic surgeries such as rhinoplasty, facelift, breast augmentation, liposuction, and tummy tuck. Contrary to expectations that major cities like Tel Aviv or Jerusalem would top the list, Modi'in ranked among the top five cities in four out of five categories and secured first place for rhinoplasty searches, surpassing larger cities including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa.

The data shows a diverse geographic pattern for different procedures: Be'er Sheva leads in liposuction interest, Tel Aviv dominates breast augmentation and facelifts, while Ashkelon surprisingly ranks first for tummy tucks. Modi'in consistently appears near the top across these categories, highlighting its emerging status as a hub for aesthetic procedures.

Professor Yossi Hayek, chairman of the association, explains that this trend reflects a broader national expansion of demand for cosmetic treatments beyond Israel's largest cities. He emphasizes the importance of choosing qualified medical professionals and undergoing thorough evaluations before any procedure, cautioning against decisions based solely on location convenience or social media endorsements.

This shift coincides with the approach of summer, a period when many seek cosmetic enhancements to prepare for beach season. The findings suggest that the desire for aesthetic improvements is widespread across Israel, with Modi'in standing out as an unexpected leader in this field.
