Light Aircraft Crashes on Solar Panels in Sharon, Two Injured
A light aircraft crashed on Friday evening in an open area near the moshav Ein Vered in the Sharon region. A man in his 50s sustained moderate injuries, including head and limb trauma, while another individual suffered minor injuries. The crash ignited a fire that trapped both passengers.
Firefighters from the Netanya station rescued the injured and extinguished the blaze. Both victims were transported by Magen David Adom (MDA) teams to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. The MDA received the emergency call at 17:51.
Dr. Omri Gurga of MDA reported that upon arrival, responders found heavy smoke and flames. Both passengers were conscious and received immediate medical care before evacuation. The crash site included solar panels, which were damaged in the fire. Photographs from the scene show burnt aircraft debris and affected solar panels.
