Light Aircraft Crashes at Ein Vered Airfield, Two Injured and Rescued
A light aircraft crashed on Friday at the Ein Vered airfield, causing a fire at the scene. Two passengers were trapped in the wreckage; one man in his 50s sustained moderate injuries including head and limb trauma, while the other passenger was lightly injured. Both were treated by Magen David Adom paramedics and evacuated to Meir Hospital for further medical care.
Firefighters were dispatched to the site to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading, especially as the crash occurred in an area containing solar panels. Dr. Omri Gurga from Magen David Adom reported arriving to find heavy smoke and flames, with the two conscious passengers nearby. Immediate medical treatment was provided before transporting them by ambulance.
