Hapoel Jerusalem Signs Former NBA and EuroLeague Forward Devontae Cacok
Hapoel Jerusalem has secured the signing of forward Devontae Cacok as part of its roster build-up for the upcoming season. The 29-year-old American player, who previously competed in the NBA and EuroLeague, agreed to terms with the Israeli club on Friday. Cacok spent last season with Murcia in Spain's top league, averaging 11.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
Cacok's experience includes 26 NBA appearances with the Los Angeles Lakers and several seasons in the NBA G League. Most recently, he played in the 2023/24 EuroLeague season for Virtus Bologna, facing Europe's elite teams. Known for his athleticism and versatility, Cacok can play both frontcourt positions, bringing strong rebounding, finishing ability near the basket, and high energy on both ends of the court.
Hapoel Jerusalem aims to leverage his skills to add depth and aggression to their front line as they pursue a EuroCup championship and direct qualification to the EuroLeague. The club continues to work diligently on assembling a competitive squad for the next season under coach Dusko Avdija's leadership.
