Michael Tikkey Jr., a 22-year-old from Maryland, was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty in a US court to attempting to support ISIS and planning attacks against Jewish people and supporters of Israel. The court also ordered that Tikkey will be under lifetime supervision following his release from prison. According to the prosecution, Tikkey told an undercover FBI agent that he intended to travel to Somalia to join ISIS as a fighter. He also revealed a "Plan B" for carrying out an attack within the United States, stating that he had researched Jewish and pro-Israel buildings and considered shooting individuals associated with them.
