Following the recent signing of Yam Madar, Maccabi Tel Aviv is optimistic about completing its roster for the upcoming season. The club is currently negotiating a contract extension with center Ifa Lundberg, with talks progressing and a potential deal worth around $2 million per season. However, club officials acknowledge that a significantly higher offer from another team could make retaining Lundberg difficult, prompting them to prepare alternative options.

Although Fernando has not yet been officially released by Partizan, the Serbian club is expected to replace him with Kabarius Hayes. The main challenge is not the Serbian club but rather interest from other teams in Fernando. Additionally, Maccabi has recently been offered center Moses Wright, who had agreed terms with Barcelona but may leave due to internal issues at the Catalan club. Wright, who excelled last season with Žalgiris Kaunas, is considered a strong candidate to join Maccabi.

The club is seeking a new center to replace Zack Hankins, likely targeting a player with a lower profile. Meanwhile, Maccabi awaits developments regarding Lonnie Walker’s future, as they need to decide whether he will depart for the NBA or remain with the team.
