Hapoel Tel Aviv and Jerusalem Enter Talks to Re-Sign Forward Bruno Caboclo

Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem are currently in discussions with Brazilian forward Bruno Caboclo about a potential return to the Israeli Basketball Premier League. Caboclo, 30, who left Hapoel Tel Aviv during last season after not being registered for the EuroLeague squad under coach Dimitris Itoudis, is also receiving significant offers from Chinese and Japanese leagues.

Caboclo initially signed with Hapoel Tel Aviv in August 2024 and contributed to the team's EuroCup victory that season, averaging 7.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. However, he was not utilized in the EuroLeague the following season and subsequently moved to play in Dubai, where he finished the current season before becoming a free agent.

The forward was drafted 20th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors and has since played for several NBA teams including Sacramento, Memphis, and Houston, as well as international clubs such as Limoges, Sao Paulo, and Partizan Belgrade. Hapoel Jerusalem's offer comes from the team managed by Matan Edelson, while Hapoel Tel Aviv's proposal is linked to Ofer Yanai. Both Israeli clubs are aiming to strengthen their rosters with high-profile players ahead of the new season.
