Netanyahu and Defense Minister Warn of Renewed Military Threats from Turkey and Iran

During the Israeli Air Force pilot graduation ceremony on Thursday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz signaled the possibility of renewed military confrontations. Netanyahu reiterated Israel's commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, stating that timely action has so far stopped Iran’s armament. He also hinted at escalating tensions with Turkey, referencing concerns over potential sales of F-35 fighter jets from the United States to the Turkish military under President Erdogan. Netanyahu emphasized the ongoing importance of maintaining air superiority as a cornerstone of national security and regional stability in the turbulent Middle East.

Defense Minister Israel Katz delivered a direct message to Iran’s leadership, warning that Israel’s reach extends to Tehran, Tabriz, and Isfahan, and that Israel is prepared to intensify its military efforts if necessary. Katz declared readiness for a "third campaign" against Iran to eliminate threats, underscoring Israel’s determination to act decisively.

Katz also highlighted ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, aimed at destroying tunnel infrastructure and neutralizing enemies, as well as continued efforts in Lebanon to dismantle terror infrastructures under Operation "Silver Plow." In the West Bank, he noted a significant 85 percent reduction in Palestinian terrorism since Israeli forces entered terror camps there. Both leaders stressed Israel’s preparedness to renew and escalate military actions to maintain security and deter adversaries.
