During a quiet evening, Evyatar showed Neta a surprise video he had received from his father, who was then serving in uniform on the Gaza Strip border. In the video, his father sent the couple a special Shabbat Shalom greeting that combined words from the weekly Torah portion, “Va'etchanan,” along with a festive reminder of the approaching Tu B'Av.

Neta did not hide her excitement over the unusual gesture: “He’s lovely, it’s extraordinary. Handsome, in uniform, with Gaza in the background, it’s insane.” She praised his ability to connect the weekly Torah portion to the situation and called him “a special person.” Evyatar, for his part, proudly confirmed that his father has the “best sermons,” even though he is not a rabbi, and he even joked about the great responsibility his father places on them while they are trying to rest on vacation.
