Jerusalem Chief Rabbi Delivers In-Depth Halachic Lecture on Processed Meat to Torah Scholars
The Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem and Rishon LeZion, Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar, visited the Shaarei Mordechai kollelim network yesterday. The network includes eight kollelim across Israel and is led by its president, Rabbi Rafael Raphaeli. During his visit, Rabbi Amar gave a comprehensive halachic lecture to dozens of avreichim and Torah scholars on the topic of processed meat and its halachic implications.
Rabbi Amar outlined the foundational issues of the topic, emphasizing new halachic considerations arising from modern food industry developments. He analyzed practical questions related to the subject and provided detailed answers to the attendees’ inquiries. The event was attended by heads of kollelim, rabbis, dayanim, and Torah scholars from the Shaarei Mordechai network, who listened attentively for over an hour in an atmosphere of Torah study and spiritual elevation.
At the conclusion of the lecture, the Chief Rabbi wished the head of the kollel continued blessing and success in his endeavors, expressing hope that he would merit to expand and glorify Torah study and to raise many generations of Torah scholars illuminating the world of Torah in Israel.
