Jerusalem Police Solve Brutal Shooting Murder, Charges Filed Against Three Suspects

Israeli police have solved the brutal murder of Abd al-Salam Abu Asab in the Shuafat refugee camp in East Jerusalem, which occurred about two months ago. After a covert investigation, authorities identified three Arab suspects from East Jerusalem and are filing indictments against them today. According to the investigation, the suspects lured the victim by phone to a meeting point where they awaited him masked and armed. Upon his arrival, they shot him approximately 30 times, killing him instantly, and then fled the scene.

Following the shooting, the suspects allegedly attempted to destroy evidence by setting fire to the scooter used during the attack and disposing of gloves and helmets they had worn. The Jerusalem District Police conducted a thorough investigation of the suspects' escape route and gathered evidence to build a case against them. The prosecution is expected to request their detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
