Family Releases Memorial Film Honoring Fallen Golani Fighter Ohad Yaari

On the 30th anniversary of the death of Ohad Yaari, a 21-year-old Golani Brigade soldier from Rehovot who was killed in Lebanon, his family released a memorial film featuring rare footage from his life. Ohad's brother, Amitai Yaari, spoke with Channel 7 about his late brother, describing him as a man of great strength and joy who was deeply loved by family and community. Amitai recalled Ohad's dedication to Torah study, which gave him the strength to serve in the army with enthusiasm despite hardships. He emphasized Ohad's ability to bring happiness and unity wherever he went.

Amitai noted the symbolic timing of Ohad's birth and death both occurring on a Friday, expressing faith that Ohad's sacrifice will lead to something significant. He urged others to learn from Ohad's example of joy, kindness, and striving to be the best while maintaining unity despite disagreements.
