IDF Identifies Remains of Soldier Yaakov Zrihen After 78 Years
After 78 years, the remains of IDF soldier Yaakov Zrihen have been discovered. Zrihen, a private, fell during the supply convoys to Jerusalem in Operation Harel in 1948. Until now, his burial site was unknown. An investigation led by the Israel Defense Forces located his remains in a mass grave at Kiryat Anavim, alongside seven other fallen soldiers. Zrihen's sister expressed relief, saying, "My sons will be able to recite Kaddish for the first time." This discovery brings closure to the family after decades of uncertainty.
