US Returns Tanker Aircraft to Middle East Amid Rising Tensions with Iran

The United States has begun redeploying tanker aircraft back to the Middle East after temporarily relocating them to Europe in recent weeks. This move follows a recent exchange of strikes between the US and Iran, escalating regional tensions. Israeli defense forces remain on high alert, with Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir conducting situation assessments alongside senior IDF officials from intelligence, air force, and operations divisions. Zamir is also in direct contact with senior commanders from the US Central Command and the Pentagon.

Israeli officials have stated that any Iranian attack on Israel would provoke a strong Israeli military response. Unlike previous incidents where the US restrained Israel from launching extensive retaliatory strikes, President Donald Trump now believes Iran is being deceptive in negotiations and merely seeking to buy time. Israel continues to monitor the situation closely and maintain defensive readiness, although there have been no changes to Home Front Command guidelines so far.

The heightened tensions have also impacted markets, with Iranian stocks plummeting and oil prices surging. Iran has called for a halt to negotiations, while Trump declared that, in his view, the nuclear deal is effectively over.
