Customer Assaulted in Afula Garage After Worker Refuses Service and Uses Anti-Semitic Slur
Security footage from a garage in Afula captured a violent attack on a customer identified as N., who had come to replace a tire. According to N.'s account on the program "HaOlam HaBoker," the incident escalated after the worker refused to change his tire, throwing it on the floor. When N. attempted to put the tire back in his car and leave, the worker called him a "dirty Jew" and punched him in the face.
The assault left N. severely injured, requiring hospitalization for multiple wounds. He lost consciousness during the attack and was shocked to see footage showing the assailant continuing to hit him after he had fainted. Beyond physical injuries, N. described deep psychological trauma and a lasting fear for his safety, saying he now hesitates to leave his home. He recalled the attacker’s hostile demeanor from the start but did not expect such violence. After recovering, N. contacted the police despite attempts by the garage staff to persuade him to settle the matter privately.
The Israel Police reported that the suspect, a 23-year-old resident of Nazareth, was arrested by Northern District officers. His detention has been extended until Thursday, and the investigation is ongoing.
