Former Maccabi Tel Aviv Player Borko Radovic Joins Hapoel Haifa as Assistant Coach
Hapoel Haifa officially announced the appointment of Borko Radovic as their new assistant coach. Radovic, 54, a Montenegrin-Israeli former forward, previously played for Maccabi Tel Aviv during two periods from 1996 to 2001. During his time with Maccabi, he won three Israeli championships and the 2001 Super League title, and obtained Israeli citizenship. After retiring as a player, Radovic transitioned into coaching, serving as an assistant coach at Zalgiris Kaunas, Red Star Belgrade, and most recently with Bayern Munich in the EuroLeague. His return to Israel marks a significant addition to Hapoel Haifa's professional staff, as the club aims to build a competitive squad and secure promotion back to the Israeli Premier League by the end of the upcoming season. The club hopes Radovic's experience will help lead them back to the top tier and reestablish their status among Israel's strongest teams.
