Former Maccabi Tel Aviv Forward Borco Radovic Joins Hapoel Haifa as Assistant Coach
Hapoel Haifa officially announced the appointment of Borco Radovic as their new assistant coach on July 8, 2026. Radovic, a 54-year-old Montenegrin-Israeli former forward, previously played for Maccabi Tel Aviv during two periods from 1996 to 2001. During his time with Maccabi, he won three Israeli championships and the 2001 Super League title, and he acquired Israeli citizenship.
After retiring as a player, Radovic transitioned into coaching, serving as an assistant coach at Zielona Góra and Red Star Belgrade. He later joined the coaching staff of Bayern Munich in the EuroLeague. Now, he returns to Israel to join Hapoel Haifa’s professional team with the goal of helping the club build a competitive squad and achieve promotion back to the Israeli Premier League.
Hapoel Haifa aims to leverage Radovic’s extensive experience to strengthen their coaching staff and return to the top tier of Israeli football by the end of the upcoming season. The club is focused on reestablishing itself as one of the leading teams in Israel.
