Health Ministry Lifts Swimming Ban at Sea of Galilee Beaches After Water Quality Improves
The Israeli Ministry of Health removed the swimming ban at six Sea of Galilee beaches just one day after issuing it due to abnormal microbial findings. The initial warning was issued following routine water quality tests that detected elevated microbial levels at the beaches of Kursi, Halukim, Susita, Raket, Mykonos (Paralia), and Nof Ginosar Hotel. However, subsequent tests conducted by the Ministry found the water quality to be within safe limits, prompting the removal of the bathing prohibition.
The Ministry emphasized that swimming is only permitted at officially designated beaches and urged the public to stay updated with official announcements regarding water quality. The quick reversal highlights the Ministry's ongoing monitoring efforts to ensure public health and safety at the Sea of Galilee during the summer season.
