Tiberias Football Club Defends Against Doping Allegations with Medical Report

A dramatic development has emerged in the doping allegations against Ironi Tiberias football club. A medical document obtained by Sport Channel serves as the club's main defense against claims made by the Israeli National Anti-Doping Agency. The report, signed by the club's medical advisor, a renowned anesthesiologist licensed in Israel and the US, states that the intravenous saline infusions given to players complied with regulations.

According to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), saline infusions exceeding 100 milliliters are prohibited. The medical opinion explains that the infusion equipment used delivers exactly 20 drops per milliliter, and the infusion rate was controlled at one drop per second for a maximum of 15 minutes per player. This means each player received only 45 milliliters, less than half the allowed limit.

The club emphasizes that all players and staff maintained during investigations that the infusion did not exceed 15 minutes, and none failed polygraph tests on this claim. A senior Tiberias official stated that to surpass the 100 milliliter limit, a player would have to be connected to the drip for over half an hour, which did not occur.
