Ironi D. Tiberias issued a lengthy denial on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, after reports linked the club to alleged intravenous treatments. The club said it rejects all accusations, has not received any formal complaint, demand, or official inquiry, and is responding only to media reports so far.
According to the club, if the claims originated with M.S. Ashdod, that would be an improper attempt to create media pressure and influence events off the pitch instead of accepting the sporting outcome on the field. Tiberias also said it has chosen attorney Ofer Ben Asa to lead its legal defense if proceedings in the sports court become necessary.
The club firmly denied giving players any prohibited substance. It said the only treatment involved was a standard saline solution, sodium chloride, legally purchased and containing no supplements or banned ingredients. Tiberias described the treatment as routine recovery care used for players after unusual physical loads during a period when the team played two matches a week.
Tiberias said the solution was administered three days before a match, in a limited volume, under medical supervision and in line with accepted professional sports standards. After further legal and medical checks, the club said it believes it complied with all laws, WADA rules, and applicable guidelines, and it will continue cooperating with any authorized body that investigates the matter.
