Multiple Shootings in Northern Israel Leave Several Dead and Critically Injured
Several violent shootings occurred in northern Israel over the past few days, resulting in multiple deaths and critical injuries. On Tuesday evening, two men were shot in Jdeideh-Makr in the Western Galilee, both in serious condition. Earlier that day in Tamra, Lower Galilee, 33-year-old Yasser Abu Elhija was fatally shot, and another man, aged 29, was critically wounded. Two days prior, in Umm al-Fahm, 30-year-old Muhammad Kassab was killed by gunfire, and a 38-year-old man was moderately injured. Investigations revealed that the crime scene in Umm al-Fahm was tampered with before authorities arrived, with evidence being washed away and removed.
Hours before the Umm al-Fahm shooting, approximately 50-year-old Muhammad Khalaila was fatally shot in Deir Hanna, also in the Lower Galilee. Police have launched investigations and are conducting searches to locate the suspects, with the incidents believed to have criminal motives. Additionally, the Rambam Hospital announced the death of 17-year-old Wiam Faisal, who was critically injured two days earlier in a shooting at a gas station in Haifa that also claimed the life of 18-year-old Jonathan Houri. Another young man injured in that event remains in very serious condition as doctors continue to fight for his life.
