Jerusalem Launches New Ice Skating Complex at Teddy Stadium for Summer
Jerusalem has opened a new ice skating complex called the "Ice Box" as part of the Arena Park campus, located in the eastern stand parking lot of Teddy Stadium. The facility, spanning approximately 1,300 square meters of real ice, is one of the largest and most advanced in Israel. It will operate continuously throughout the summer vacation until the end of August, offering residents and visitors a unique recreational option.
The Ice Box is part of a broader summer event series in Jerusalem's Sports Campus, which also includes the upcoming Arena Park water park opening on July 26. The water park will feature inflatable water slides, pools, activity zones, and water-based challenge equipment for families. The ice skating complex has undergone a significant upgrade this year, featuring a new and innovative design by Michelle Bardugo, enhancing the visitor experience.
Operating hours for the Ice Box are Sunday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM (last entry at 9:00 PM), and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (last entry at 2:00 PM). Children aged five and above are allowed to skate, with rental skates and professional medical staff available on site. Admission prices are 76 shekels for regular tickets and 49 shekels for holders of the 'Yerushalmi' card.
Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion emphasized the city's commitment to leading in culture, leisure, and family entertainment, highlighting the Ice Box and other summer venues as key attractions for residents and the hundreds of thousands of visitors. Ariel Company CEO Uri Menachem expressed enthusiasm about offering diverse family-friendly events and invited the public to enjoy a vibrant summer in Jerusalem.
