Israeli Woman Overcomes 12-Year Fertility Struggle to Have First Child at 40

Liron Klar Teitelbaum from Bnei Brak waited 12 years to give birth to her first daughter, Yehia Mushka. For many years, she and her husband avoided fertility clinics due to fears, hoping for a natural miracle. Eventually, after comprehensive medical evaluations revealed fertility issues, they began intensive treatments despite repeated setbacks and discouraging medical opinions.

Liron describes a grueling journey involving daily hormone injections, blood tests, and spiritual practices including prayers and visits to holy graves. Despite multiple failed attempts and even a miscarriage, she found strength through support groups at the Pohe Institute, which provided emotional solidarity and hope.

Doctors eventually expressed doubt about her chances of conceiving, but Liron refused to give up, relying on faith and perseverance. About a year ago, just as a promising embryo transfer was disrupted by the outbreak of war with Iran, she renewed her efforts. A month later, the embryo successfully implanted, and three months ago she gave birth to her daughter.

Liron emphasizes that the goal matters more than the path taken and urges couples facing fertility challenges to combine advanced medical care with psychological and community support. She calls on others not to face infertility alone but to seek hope and guidance together.
