Iran Attacks Again, Delivering a Record Night for Channel 12 News

The biggest and most unbelievable story of the evening belonged to Yonit Levi and Keshet 12 News. With the transition to the "special broadcast" in the late hours following Iran’s attack, Levi posted a phenomenal rating of 22.1% and brought nearly 600,000 viewers to the screen. These numbers once again prove that during extraordinary national broadcasts, the public rushes to its home channel.
The competitors had to make do with the leftovers, but still posted very high figures for the late hour. Tal Shorer led the special broadcast on Reshet 13 to a double-digit rating of 11% and 328,000 viewers. Maggie Tabibi and the special broadcast on Channel 14 delivered a 9.8% rating, drawing the same number of viewers, 328,000, to the screen. Sharon Davidovich closed the list of special broadcasts on Kan 11 with a 4% rating and 102,000 viewers.

Even before the dramatic switch to the special broadcasts, prime-time hours featured a close studio battle. "Marrie Me?" on Keshet 12 took first place with a strong 16.1% rating and 406,000 viewers. The show beat the competing reality program "Big Brother" on Reshet 13, which recorded 14.1% and 351,000 viewers. On Channel 14, Yinon Magal and "The Patriots" posted 8.6% with 275,000 viewers. On Kan 11, the series "Not to Fight" achieved a 4.3% rating and 110,000 viewers.
Because of the continuing current events, the late-night slots turned into extended news broadcasts that produced unusually high numbers. The special broadcast of Avri Gilad and Yair Cherki on Keshet 12 scored a 9.7% rating and 241,000 viewers. On Reshet 13, the extended news edition drew 9.3% and attracted 270,000 viewers, a particularly high figure for the edition and the hour. Channel 14 put up a strong fight in this late slot, with an impressive 9.1% and no fewer than 290,000 viewers for the extended news, while Kan 11’s extended edition closed the night with 3.4% and 90,000 viewers.

In the regular main editions, Keshet 12 maintained a steady and calm lead. Levi delivered 13.2% rating in the main broadcast and drew 332,000 viewers. The race for the title of the second-largest edition was decided clearly. Tabibi and Channel 14 posted 7.9% and 217,000 viewers, opening a gap over Udi Segal and News 13, who settled for 5.6% and 184,000 viewers. Tali Moreno and Kan 11 News closed the list with 2.9% and 73,000 viewers.
At 7 p.m., control of the current-affairs arena remained with Keshet 12. Keren Marciano led the slot comfortably with an 8.8% rating and 220,000 viewers. In second place were the duo Yehuda Schlesinger and Yaakov Bardugo on Channel 14, who achieved 5.2% and 137,000 viewers. They beat Raviv Drucker and the program "War Zone" on Reshet 13 in this slot, which posted 4.3% and 134,000 viewers. Liel Keisar on Kan 11 finished the hour with only 1.6% and 39,000 viewers.
