Naomi Hadari, Wife of Renowned Western Wall Yeshiva Head, Passes Away at 91
Naomi Hadari, wife of the legendary head of the Western Wall Yeshiva, Rabbi Yeshayahu Hadari, passed away at the age of 91. She was a central figure in the Jewish community of Jerusalem's Old City, opening her home for decades to yeshiva students and contributing to the revival of Jewish settlement there after the city's liberation.
Born into a distinguished family, Naomi was the daughter of Rabbi Chaim Rakover and granddaughter of the Mandelbaum family. She was also sister to Professor Nahum Rakover and Rabbi Baruch Rakover. Professionally, she worked as a social worker and later managed a department at the National Insurance Institute.
Together with her husband, she was among the pioneers who renewed Jewish life in Jerusalem's Old City between the walls. Their home served as a warm spiritual haven for students of the Western Wall Yeshiva, fostering an atmosphere of Torah study and sanctity.
Naomi Hadari leaves behind a large and respected family devoted to Torah and mitzvot. Among her sons-in-law are Rabbi Aryeh Hendler and Rabbi Aryeh Feig, prominent scholars in the Religious Zionist community.
