Netanyahu Condemns Hate Displays at Iran's Khamenei Funeral in Tehran

The funeral procession for Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Tehran turned into a vehement display of hostility against Western countries, particularly the United States and Israel. Participants in the event carried inflammatory signs calling for the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former U.S. President Donald Trump. Among the most striking images was a doll resembling Trump, dressed in a suit with a yellow-painted head to mimic his hair, hung from a noose with a red flag above it symbolizing violent intent.

Along the funeral route, a large banner titled "Wanted" featured illustrations of Netanyahu and Trump with red target marks on their foreheads. The sign threatened that anyone who kills them "like dogs" would receive a reward of 100 plots of land, each 200 square meters. At the bottom of the banner were two coffins draped with Israeli and American flags, accompanied by the ominous phrase "Coming soon."

Prime Minister Netanyahu responded to these hateful displays in an interview with Fox News, distinguishing between the Iranian public and the regime's extremist supporters. He stated that 80 percent of Iranians actually despise the current regime, but a violent minority is the only group able to take to the streets. Netanyahu highlighted chants of "Death to Trump" during the funeral and warned against allowing Iran to acquire nuclear weapons or the technology to develop them.

Netanyahu also noted the presence of official representatives from various countries, including Saudi Arabia, at the funeral. He emphasized that it is clear who truly stands against Iran on the front lines: the United States and Israel.
