Iranian Expert Highlights Tensions and Mystery Around Mojtaba Khamenei's Absence at Ali Khamenei's Funeral

Iranian expert Rani Amrani discussed the funeral of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Tehran, revealing intense anti-American and anti-Israeli sentiments expressed during the event. According to Amrani, mourners shouted slogans such as "Death to America," "Death to Israel," and "Kill Trump," with large placards targeting former U.S. President Donald Trump. Amrani described this hostile atmosphere as reflecting the true nature of the Iranian regime, which he claims is not interested in negotiations but in buying time to strengthen itself.

A significant point raised by Amrani was the mysterious absence of Mojtaba Khamenei, one of Ali Khamenei's sons, from the funeral. While other sons, including Mostafa, Meysam, and Masoud, were present, Mojtaba's absence is seen as a major failure for the regime. Amrani suggested that if Mojtaba were alive and well, he would have attended, implying that he might be seriously injured or deceased. Amrani further noted the regime's weakness, highlighting that some attendees at the funeral were militias from Afghanistan and Pakistan rather than ordinary Iranian citizens. Amrani concluded that the Iranian regime is unpopular both domestically and internationally and expressed hope for a significant change, possibly sparked by public protests.
