Brazilian Influencer Carol Belchior Fatally Stabbed by Ex-Partner After Party

Carol Belchior, a 27-year-old Brazilian influencer and mother from Horizonte, was fatally stabbed early Saturday morning near her home in the Diadema neighborhood. According to police, her ex-boyfriend, a 26-year-old man, waited for her and attacked her with a knife after she returned from a night out, including a punk party and time at the gym where she worked. The suspect was arrested within hours in Horizonte and charged with femicide, a gender-based murder.

Belchior had approximately 500,000 followers on social media, where she shared fitness videos, family moments, daily content, and commercial promotions. In the days before her death, she posted about relationships and breakups, questioning the role of a man in providing protection, love, and respect. Family and friends mourned her as a joyful woman with dreams and plans cruelly cut short by someone who claimed to love her. Her relatives also lamented the loss her young son faces growing up without his mother. The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killing.
