Israel Wins European Wheelchair Basketball B Division Championship

The Israeli men's wheelchair basketball team secured first place in the European Championship B Division on July 5, 2026, by defeating Slovenia 64-50 in the final. Coached by Lior Dror, the young and talented team demonstrated strong performance throughout the tournament, finishing first in the group stage with notable wins over Bulgaria, Latvia, Croatia, and Slovenia. In the semifinals, Israel beat Portugal 65-32, which guaranteed their promotion to the A Division.
