Despite heavy Israeli military pressure and daily strikes targeting Hamas operatives and infrastructure, the terrorist organization continues to maintain and even strengthen its control mechanisms across Gaza. Sources within Gaza report that Hamas has adapted its operational patterns to better fit the current conditions in the Strip, allowing it to sustain its authority despite ongoing Israeli attacks.
Recent Israeli airstrikes persisted throughout Gaza, targeting Hamas militants and terror sites, while diplomatic efforts toward a ceasefire and hostage deal proceed slowly. Hamas refuses to disarm, and Israel continues its military campaign. Both sides are attempting to establish facts on the ground and improve their negotiating positions for any potential agreement.
Within Gaza, conflicting reports emerge. While criticism of Hamas grows, evidence suggests the group still exerts significant influence over the population. For example, about ten days ago, Hamas suppressed a planned protest called the "June 26 Revolution" by threatening organizers through anonymous calls and intimidation tactics, including kidnappings without prior notice. Hamas also attempts to portray its police as enjoying public support, releasing videos with residents praising them as defenders of the homeland.

Despite the damage inflicted by Israeli operations, Hamas retains some governance and security functions.
