Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev officially confirmed on Sunday morning in an interview with Effi Triger on Galei Tzahal that Israel has transferred an Iron Dome missile defense battery to the United Arab Emirates. Regev explained that the UAE recognizes ballistic missiles as a major threat and is relying on Israel's support to counter them.

This confirmation follows reports revealing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to the UAE on March 26, accompanied by senior security officials including IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir. The visit, conducted under strict secrecy at the UAE's request, occurred during heightened tensions linked to Iran and was described as highly significant by both countries.

Foreign media previously reported that the UAE requested and received the Iron Dome battery to defend against Iranian ballistic missiles and drones. Additionally, Mossad chief David Barnea reportedly visited the UAE multiple times during the recent military campaign against Iran, coordinating operations under "Operation Roaring Lion." These developments highlight deepening military and intelligence cooperation between Israel and the UAE amid regional security challenges.
